Abstract To combine the advantages of two materials, hybrid bulk metal workpieces are attractive for subsequent processes such as forming. However, materials rely on initial bond strength effective transfer applied loads. Thus, a non-destructive evaluation bonding along production process chain is high interest. evaluate to what extent testing can be employed monitor quality between joining partners steel and aluminum characterize age hardening condition component, ultrasonic electrical conductivity measurements were applied. It was found that lateral angular co-extrusion create homogeneous although altered during processing.
